Mapping out Land Patents of Levi Daniel 1834 and 1840
The below picture is of four sections. Each section is divided into quarters and each quarter is again divided into quarters. Each quarter of a quarter is 40 acres and was the standard allotment of land.
Levi bought the West half of the North West quarter in 1834 and the North East quarter of the North West quarter in 1840. Mapping them out shows that the lots were adjacent to each other.
